OOOhh I have to tell you where I went last night. Now you tell me who wouldnt wish for a white Christmas. OK I guess laying on a beech in the Bahamas does have its pros….but you cant beat getting into that Christmas sprit. i did last night when I visited Sommerset House, just round the corner from the theatre. I literally got my skates on with our Gav and had such a laugh. Now with all my festive sprit, its just all the shopping I have to do now…. ohh the horror of oxford street, somebody save me.

I dabbled my hand at a bit of trading all for a good cause, heres a picture of me and Jennifer on that day. Its a great day held on sep 11th to raise money for all different charities, Sir Alex Ferguson was there, Johnathon Ross, and many more.

Browns Hotel

This hotel was like swimming in a bath of thorntons chocolates, and I love my chocolate. It spills out class through every brick. I am even going to give you a little history lesson right now, Browns Hotel was the first ever hotel in london, so it is true class never dies, that sounds like the name of the new Andrew lloyd Webber musical. The service was so friendly they couldn’t do enough for you, and I was lucky enough to grab some time to tuck into some dinner, which as full as I was I could have eaten it again. Now for the room, I stayed in the Classic Suite. Everything was up to the highest standard, each suite held there own design. Browns has just had a 24 million pound refurbishment, but its held onto every bit of class it had all those years ago. Set in Mayfair you really are only minutes away from the west end, the only problem with this hotel is you might miss the show because your too busy lapping it up at this fabulous establishment.

One Aldwich

Now if your looking for a hotel in the heart of the west end you cant get more central than this. In fact it literally is a stones throw from Drury Lane Theatre. This contemporary hotel offers you a great nights stay. I loved the artwork in the entrance, Ive never seen boat oars so big, if you go there you will understand what I mean, and get me you know what I am like I adore the girlie things in life and stepping into an luminous pink mirrored lift put a wee smile on my face. I stayed in one of there spacious suites, I was very pleasantly surprised on the size, its one of those things you dont come to expect in london, so with the size of the room and the beautiful view overlooking london, this is why I am placing The One Aldwich as my second choice.

The Royal Carlton Jumeirah

Just a five minute cab ride outside the west end you will find one of Londons hidden gems, settled in Knightsbridge is the Royal Carlton Jumeirah. You know on arrival you are stepping into luxury. I would throughly recommend this hotel, everything from the service, the beautiful suite I stayed in, the surrounding and the food was fabulous.

The Santum

Set in the heart of SoHo you would probably walk by this without noticing. Like most of London this is a hip hotel, even on arrival I did a bit of star spotting, Rachel Stephens was checking out with all the girlies after her hen do, crikey she was tiny. I booked into a crash pad, after all if you are coming to watch a show you really dont spend that mush time in your room. Stepping through the sleek dark hallways to my room, I saw infront of my eyes what every leading lady should have,,,,,, diamante door handles, I loved them, and no I wasnt there at 2 am trying to unscrew them to take them home. the room as I said was called a crash pad, I have to say slightly disappointed on the size but it did have stylish decor throughout, there just wasnt enough room to swing an Oliver…. just kidding, but it did what it said on the package. The bonus you do get with this hotel is a fabulous roof garden with a jacuzzi sadly I didnt get chance to try it out,but I would go back there for a drinks with friends.

Rough Luxe

hidden just around the corner from kings cross station, I didnt know what to expect when I saw the door. But with all reviews I wanted to try something different and different this was. An converted terrace house has been transformed into a hotel half rough and half luxurious. I have to say, I felt like they had placed there beautiful furniture and not been bothered to finish the rest of the room. There was an old black and white tv without a remote control, I do have to say I did watch one channel all night come on you would be the same without a remote. The room was quite small but I can see it fitting perfect for quick stop over arty types.
